Preparing Your Feet for Winter

We often 'forget' about our feet over winter, but now is the best time to look after them.

Why should I start in winter?

As the weather gets colder, we start to wear socks and closed shoes, indoor heating might be turned on soon too. This makes skin (and feet) dehydrated, dry, rougher to the touch and in need of some TLC.

So instead of waiting until spring to look after your feet, you can start now and ensure that they are ready for the next sandal season.

Having a pedicure in winter can help to improve the health of your feet and give you some time for yourself before the busyness of the festive season.

Why Hydration Matters

The best habit for consistently beautiful feet? Hydration. But not all hydration is the same.

Lightweight, fast-absorbing products - like the Footlogix® treatments at Nail Cabin - are designed to go beyond the surface to improve skin over time, not just temporarily soften it.

With regular use, professional treatments can help to smooth rough areas and improve overall skin texture.

Instead of a quick and temporary fix, I focus on building lasting results.

Good Habits Now Can Help You Later

A little goes a long way. With consistent care, you can help your feet to look and feel better. Here are my tips for looking after your feet this autumn and winter:

  • Book in regular treatments

  • Take some Footlogix® products home with you - the mousses are great to use in winter

  • Apply hydrating products before bed

  • Regularly wash and exfoliate your feet

  • Use cuticle oils on your nails

  • Take time out of socks to allow your feet to breathe

Keep Your Feet Smelling Great

If you battle with warm and hot feet over the winter months, the Footlogix® Foot Fresh and Shoe Fresh Sprays are also a great option for you. They help to keep feet fresh, cool and odour-free all day.
